The 12th Five Year Plan for the development of national strategic emerging industries issued by the State Council strives to increase the proportion of strategic emerging industries in GDP from less than 4% in 2010 to about 8% by 2015, and to reach 15% by 2020.

Future development trend of electronic components industry:

1、 In the aspect of integrated circuit design, the integrated application of domestic chips and software is strengthened. It is expected that by 2015, the domestic market share of IC design output value will increase from 5% to 15%.

2、 In terms of display technology, we should actively and orderly develop large-scale TFT-LCD, accelerate the research and development and industrialization of new generation display technologies such as organic light-emitting diode (OLED), three-dimensional (3D) and laser display.

3、 In the aspect of LED industry, we should conquer the common key technologies and equipment of LED and OLED industry, and improve the economy of LED and OLED lighting.

4、 In terms of new components, master the core technology of intelligent sensors and new power electronic devices and systems, improve the support ability of special equipment and instruments in emerging fields, and develop chip, miniaturized and green new components.
